"Neighbors bring food with death and flowers with sickness and little things in between. Boo was our neighbor. He gave us two soap dolls, a broken watch and chain, a pair of good-luck pennies, and our lives. But neighbors give in return. We never put back into the tree what we took out of it: we had given him nothing, and it made me sad." - Scout in Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird

Happy to You
We've had a few birthday parties over the past few weeks, the most notable being Cole's 2 year birthday. So, Cole has had the chance to practice singing, "Happy Birthday to You" on more than one occasion. He has been going around the house singing that song the last few days, but he always leaves out the word birthday so the phrase is "Happy to You". It's quite cute (like everything my spoiled son does). Now we greet each other around the house with "Happy to You". I love that little phrase and so we use it to say to each of you "Happy to You". Happy New Year. Happy Day. Happy Night. Happy sleep. Happy in all that you do in 2008. Happy to You.

Cute! In our house the word that is like that is bean. Our kids are cute beans, clean beans, sassy beans, tired beans...
