"Neighbors bring food with death and flowers with sickness and little things in between. Boo was our neighbor. He gave us two soap dolls, a broken watch and chain, a pair of good-luck pennies, and our lives. But neighbors give in return. We never put back into the tree what we took out of it: we had given him nothing, and it made me sad." - Scout in Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird

I set a new record today
I spent $66.73 to fill up the Honda. I had let it get to practically empty before filling it up because I was waiting until the end of the month. (We have exceeded our gas budget for the month.) So this weekend we will be fixing the bike tires and tuning the bikes up so that we can get around. This gas thing makes me crazy.

I TOTALLY AGREE!!! It's INSANE! I can't believe how much we spent on gas to go to CA! So crazy!
I was excited when I saw "I set a new record today" on my google reader. I thought you had set a new person best for a 5K. How sad that it had to be for gas. ;(
I paid 85 euros (=132 dollars) to fill up my Volvo. So... be happy there in the USA.
Yours,
Riikka from Finland
