"Neighbors bring food with death and flowers with sickness and little things in between. Boo was our neighbor. He gave us two soap dolls, a broken watch and chain, a pair of good-luck pennies, and our lives. But neighbors give in return. We never put back into the tree what we took out of it: we had given him nothing, and it made me sad." - Scout in Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird

Hair Cut
I've been holding out for a while now trying to decide what to do with my beautiful long locks of hair. I really wanted to do the Victoria Beckham look, but I figured that would require a bit of plastic surgery to get the exact look I was going for. I gave in and let someone new cut my hair. She lives around the corner from me. I saw her at church a few weeks ago with an adorable new haircut. Knowing she cuts hair, I asked her if she could make my hair look as good as hers and she said, "Yes, of course." So, I did it. I cut off 8 inches of hair. Too bad it's been color treated in the past or I would have cut off a bit more and donated it to Locks of Love. I'll leave that generous act of kindness for my kids to take care of. When I came home, Rick said, "hmmmm, the color looks good, but it's a little shorter than I would have liked." Now he is growing a mullet to get even. Oh well, I've never seen Rick with a mullet, this could be fun.
